BIOGRAPHY:

My name is Daniele Franceschini. I was born in Trento (Italy) in 1988.
My strong passion for video games and computers started very soon, since my hands have been able to hold a joystick, when I started to play with my parents' Nintendo Entertainment System and Atari 7800, two consoles of mid '80s.
I first approached the world of PCs with a PC with an Intel 386 cpu in my father's office, at the age of 8 years, then I moved on to my first personal computer with a Pentium 1 cpu.
At the age of 14, I approached game development thanks to the discover of GameMaker engine, with which I have experimented a lot and developed several 2D mini-games; it was like a thunderbolt: I was totally enthralled by game development.
In 2006 I started to develop Dany's Virtual Drum, later renamed DvDrum (my sandbox drum simulator serie) that, with DvDrum 2 version, had reached millions of downloads across the web. It was an unexpected success that led to the creation of a real community behind the game which gave me enormous satisfaction.
In 2011 I started an Autodesk 3D design course, during which I had been studying various aspects of three-dimensional graphics. The course brought me to work as a developer for the first time at Ready Solutions in 2012, a company that develops applications and tools for desktop and web with database SQL, to support CADs mechanical design companies. I have been working there for 2 years.
Meanwhile, in 2012, I started with Unity development (Unity 4); from that moment on, I began to approach realtime 3D graphics and between 2012 and 2016 I have been studying in an Information Technology institute, where I have developed, in solo, many different mini games using Microsoft Visual Studio with various libraries.
My graduate project was an Online Multiplayer Racing Game developed with Unity Engine.
In 2013 I released the first beta of DvDrum 3 and various mobile apps on Play Store such as DvDrum Touch, DvPiano Touch, Avoiding Flames and others in order to experiment mobile devices by using Gamemaker Studio.
In 2015 I released the first early access of DvDrum, Ultimate Drum Simulator (DvDrum 4) on Steam, developed with Gamemaker Studio.
In 2017 I fully released DvDrum 4 on Steam, which marked my turning point in my total transition towards Unity Engine.
The same year, I started the Digital Bros Game Academy, a specialized academy of game development in Milan, where I experienced and learned teamwork, gaming development workflow and deepened the professions behind a gaming studio.
From this period on, I started participating in Global Game Jams to improve more and more my skills by working with new people and in new contexts, always facing new challenges.
In 2018 I worked in a game studio, Gamera Interactive, where I developed and improved various part of the gameplay, AI, combat system, level design and more, on a complex rpg pc game called Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms.
In 2019 I started to work in Digital Mosaik, a virtual reality startup which used to make 360° immersive videos. During this job, I brought my 3D knowledge and tech with which I have developed, as unique developer, a dozen of interesting immersive 3D virtual reality projects across various Oculus devices. I am proud to say that I led the company conversion from video making to virtual reality development to the point that many clients began to appreciate and request our VR software products.
In 2022 I joined in a game startup named Mad Pumpkins as unique developer to develop Movierooms, a cinema management pc game with which me and my team initially participated in the Game Hub acceleration program in Rome, Cinecittà, where I learned some basics of the gaming industry business.
